The teacher marks the class list on a phone. Each present child's parent gets a text with today's pickup number, and late arrivals are texted as they come in.

Nobody forgotten
Any child still not marked present triggers a text to their parent. If they turn up late, a follow-up closes the false alarm.

One number per family
Brothers and sisters share one pickup number, so a parent collecting three children gives one number, not three.

Green or red
The number is typed in. Green, the child goes. Red, the child stays. No number means the office decides, with a photo.

What SafePup does not do
It is worth being plain, because a safety product that oversells itself is worse than none. SafePup confirms that the right pickup number was given and keeps a record of who released each child. It cannot stop a member of staff who chooses to ignore it, and it does not decide family disputes. It makes the right thing easy and the wrong thing visible.

What schools ask before they start
Do parents need a smartphone or an app?
No. Everything reaches parents by ordinary SMS, so any phone works, including basic phones. There is nothing for parents to download or sign up for.
What if a parent says they didn't get the pickup number?
The school office can see every family's pickup number for the day and send it again in one tap. A child is never stuck because a text went missing.
What if someone else is collecting the child?
The parent passes the pickup number to whoever is collecting. If that person has no number, the gate cannot release the child: the gate takes a photo, the office is alerted, calls the parent, and decides. Every release is recorded with the name of the staff member who made it.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually an afternoon. Upload your student list from a spreadsheet, add your teachers and gate staff, and check the details. Nothing is sent to parents until your school is switched on.
