Terms of Service
Last updated 2 August 2026
These are the terms between a school and KTECH, trading as KCorp ("we", "us"), the operator of SafePup. Registering a school, or continuing to use an account already set up for your school, means you've accepted them.
What SafePup is
SafePup helps a school confirm when a child has arrived, tell their guardians by SMS, and verify who's allowed to collect them at pickup time. It's a tool that makes the right thing easy to do and the wrong thing visible — it doesn't replace a school's own judgement, and it can't stop a member of staff who chooses to ignore what it tells them. We don't promise it prevents every possible mistake; we promise it's built carefully and improved when we find one.
Accounts
Every account on SafePup — for the school office, a teacher, or gate staff — is created by the school itself; nobody signs themselves up. The school is responsible for who it gives an account to, for the accuracy of the student, staff, and guardian information it enters, and for telling us promptly if a staff member leaves so their access can be removed.
A gate account signs in with a phone number and PIN, chosen to be quick to use standing at a gate. Because of that, it's especially important that gate devices aren't left logged in and unattended, and that a gateman's PIN isn't shared.
Payment
Schools pay for SafePup on the terms agreed when they sign up. If a payment is late, we don't cut off arrival and pickup alerts mid-term — a safety system going quiet because of a billing dispute is exactly the outcome we've built this to avoid. Non-payment affects whether we activate a school's next term, not the one already running.
Messages sent on a school's behalf
Attendance and pickup messages go out automatically as part of the service. A school office can also send its own announcements to parents; this is capped per term, since each message has a real cost, and it's meant for genuine school communication, not general messaging.
What we ask of you
- Give us accurate information about students, staff, and guardians.
- Only use broadcast messages for genuine school communication to your own parents.
- Don't try to access another school's data or bypass how SafePup is secured.
- Keep staff login details — especially gate PINs — to the people they belong to.
What we don't promise
SafePup is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it available and correct, and we treat a real bug as urgent — but we don't guarantee the service is uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not liable for losses arising from someone (staff, a guardian, or anyone else) misusing the app, ignoring what it tells them, or from information a school entered being wrong. Nothing here limits liability in ways Nigerian law doesn't allow it to.
Ending the relationship
A school can stop using SafePup at any time by telling us. We can suspend or end an account for a genuine breach of these terms — misuse of the platform, repeated non-payment beyond what's described above, or similar — and we'll tell the school why. What happens to a school's data afterward is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in any way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use SafePup after a change means you've accepted it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
